Here’s what teachers are saying about telesquads…
“It was eye-opening to learn what it’s like to live in rural Panama. Six years of Spanish class didn’t really give the students that.
They learned about the disparities present in rural communities in Panama and realized that while there are things they don’t have because of the pandemic, there are places where students don’t have clean water at school even during normal times.
It was a good way to step outside their own experience during what was a hard year for them too.”

IMPACTO GLOBAL SQUADS
A virtual Spanish Immersion program that engages students in real-world international development work!
Impacto Global Squads explore the challenges and opportunities of rural and resource limited Central American communities to gain access to medical care, financial services and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) infrastructure. The program focuses on hands-on collaboration with community members to research, plan and implement a community action plan to bring these resources to its members.
Impacto Global helps students develop transferable skills that can be applied across a variety of community development projects both abroad and at home.
The program also serves as the most authentic Spanish immersion experience with engagement with native speakers in hands-on collaboration with our local support staff and community leaders held through virtual meetings to survey families and create a community action plan.
